Completed Projects

Outdoor classroom - Hoe Bridge School

The staff and students at Hoe Bridge School worked with us to come up with the design for their outdoor classroom / forest school space.

"Chris and Dan arrived on sunny Monday morning and by halfway through the following week, the building was in place and the children were enjoying outdoor learning in their new space. It's been a wonderful experience all round."

Nutkins Cottage

The brief from our Project Managers was to make this treehouse look like it belonged to Squirrel Nutkins. Using 'live-edge' timber gives the house a charming and rustic feel. The whole family got involved with this one, and hunting for fallen trees meant we were able to make the handrails and climbing wall from VERY locally sourced materials.

'The children loved their design session with Chris & Dan. The house looks so good, we love it, I can't tell you how pleased we are with it. We will miss having Chris & Dan around'.

Pergola

We can do grown up too!

This Pergola was made using Hardwood decking, cedar walls and black batten details. It transformed and unused corner of the garden into a beautiful place to relax.

Play area - Braybrooke Taproom

Bespoke play area with trim-trail and swings made with Robinia wood at Braybrooke Beer Co's Taproom.

Fully signed off by play inspectors to meet requirements set out by European standards, BSEN 1176.

Playhouses - London school

Custom-made connected playhouses to fit in the grounds of this London school. Finished in the school's colours.

"The new playground houses in NHP colours look fantastic and have already been a wonderful addition for our pupils to enjoy. A big thank you to @woodspaceuk for bringing them to life."

The Oaks

This house sits nicely between 5 impressive Oak trees. The free standing design means the trees can continue to grow around the house unimpeded. The house itself is 5m x 3m so there is plenty of room for the children to have their friends to stay. A secret door leads to a slide, and with windows on 3 sides, they can enjoy the views of the paddock... or spy on their parents. The interior was fully fitted out and decorated. Solar party lights mean this house will be great fun for the whole family all year around.  See more pictures of this build in the gallery.

'The children have loved working with Chris & Dan. When we got home from our holiday this year the treehouse was the first place they ran to'

The Stem Station

Working with the School Council, Chris and Dan delivered an assembly to the whole school. The brief for the pupils was to design activities and games that they would like to see in the playground. The Woodspace team then created these ideas and incorporated them in to a purpose built outdoor classroom. See more about this project and find out more about STEM here.

'Thank you so much!  The kids love the pergola, now named the “Bevendean STEM Station” and the teachers have all done a tour with their classes. Being able to incorporate an outdoor space, with fun & learning...and with links to STEM is amazing. Thank you for bringing this project to life'

The Explorer

With this project we were assigned a 100 square metre area. Our enthusiastic Project Managers asked for 2 swings, a climbing wall, a slide, a bridge, a chalk board wall and a cafe area. Actively involved in the project the Managers were keen to get stuck in. See more pictures of this build in the gallery.

'Thank you very much, you have exceeded our expectations with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. And thank you for bringing our girls' vision to life - a cherished space where our daughters will create lasting memories. They are so excited to move in!'

The Lookout

Inspired by the impressive view of the lake at the end of their garden, our Project Managers wanted somewhere they could draw, do their homework and bird watch. Completed with Cedar cladding 'The Lookout' was built on the existing patio. See more pictures of this build in the gallery.

'Thank you for the project you have completed. We appreciate your attention to detail and the craftsmanship shown. It is a delightful addition, and the girls will indeed enjoy the spectacular view. It is the perfect spot for their artistic activities'

The Treehouse

With two large trees growing through the upper and lower deck, this playhouse offers a true sense of adventure. The lighting in the tree canopy and inside the playhouse means that it can be enjoyed at all times of the day. See more pictures of this build in the gallery.

'You guys rock! The children have had the best experience ever, they are so happy and they have loved having you around'
